The shape of the mold determines the shape of these products, processing quality and accuracy of mold decide the quality of the products. Due to different material, appearance, specification and application, we can classify mold into casting mold, forging mold, die casting mold, non-plastic mold like stamping mold and plastic mold.
In recent years, with rapid development of plastics industry and continuous improvement of strength and accuracy of engineering plastics, scope of plastic products application expanded gradually. For example, the proportion of plastic products is rapidly increasing in many fields of household appliances, instrumentation, construction equipment, automotive, daily used hardware. The general definition of mold:
With a variety of presses and special tools installed in the press, we use metal or non-metallic materials to produce the desired shape of parts or products by pressure in industrial production. This kind of special tool is referred as mold.
Mold is a tool for producing plastic products. It consists of several parts, which includes molding cavity.
In the process of injection molding, the mold is clamped on injection molding machine, molten plastic is injected into molding cavity and then cooled. The upper mold and bottom mold
would be separated, products are ejected from the mold cavity through ejector system. Then the mold would close for next injection molding process, which is a circulation.
